The Alumni Association of Kantipur City College (KCC), Putalisadak, Kathmandu, organized a special “Congratulations and Best Wishes” program to honor its distinguished alumni and former faculty members who have made significant contributions to national policy-making and governance.
The event recognized individuals who have pursued undergraduate and postgraduate studies at KCC, as well as those who have served as faculty members. Among the honorees were three Members of the House of Representatives, the official photographer of the Prime Minister’s Office, a press and research expert, and the Chief Information Commissioner of the National Information Commission.
Those honored during the program included Mr. Binaya Shakya, official photographer at the Prime Minister’s Office; Ms. Deepa Dahal, press and research expert; Mr. Suresh Acharya, Chief Information Commissioner; and Members of the Federal Parliament Mr. Jagadish Kharel, Mr. Nishkal Rai (former faculty member), and Mr. Prakash Chandra Pariyar.
Senior communication expert Mr. Rama Krishna Regmi expressed his joy at seeing his former students reaching influential positions and contributing to nation-building. Speaking at the event, alumni Mr. Binaya Shakya and Ms. Deepa Dahal appreciated the quality of education at KCC, highlighting its strong role in fostering leadership and professional growth. Other honorees also acknowledged KCC’s contribution in shaping their careers and expressed their heartfelt gratitude.
The Chief Guest and Chairman of KCC, Dr. Prahlad Karki, extended warm congratulations to the honorees and expressed his pride in their achievements and contributions to the nation.

Kantipur City College Successfully Organizes “Club Mela 1.0” to Promote Student Engagement and Innovation
Kathmandu, Nepal – Kantipur City College successfully organized a two-day event titled “KCC Club Mela 1.0”, bringing together students, faculty, and distinguished guests in a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation, and extracurricular excellence.
The event was formally inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Santosh Chandra Kuwar, in the presence of distinguished guests Dr. Gopal Prasad Tiwari, Mr. Suman Katawal, and Dr. Pralhad Karki. The program was also attended by Principal Mr. Raju Kattel, Director of Operations Ms. Mina Karki, Heads of Departments, coordinators, faculty members, staff, and a large number of enthusiastic students.
During the inauguration ceremony, speakers highlighted the importance of such platforms in fostering students’ leadership, creativity, and practical skills beyond the classroom. Principal Mr. Raju Kattel emphasized that the Club Mela reflects the college’s commitment to holistic education and experiential learning.
The two-day mela featured a wide range of activities organized by various student clubs, including Zumba sessions, Code Fest, Entrepreneurship Carnival, Startup Showcase, Fun Games, Health Camp, Dance and Singing Performances, among others. The Entrepreneurship Carnival and Startup Showcase, organized by EEMC, attracted significant attention for promoting innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
Students actively participated in different events, showcasing their talents, teamwork, and innovative ideas. The event created a lively and engaging atmosphere across the college premises, strengthening collaboration among different departments and clubs.

This accreditation formally recognizes the college’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards, effective institutional management, and overall educational excellence.
The accreditation certificate was presented by Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari, Chairperson of the University Grants Commission, during a special program. The event was also attended by the Dr. Ram Dhakal,Head of the Planning Division from Purbanchal University.

Kantipur City College proudly announces the successful completion of Sports Week 2082, with the certificate distribution ceremony held today.
The event commenced on 2nd Chaitra 2082, featuring exciting indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess, and Badminton, conducted within the college premises for two days. Following this, a series of outdoor games were conducted at different sports venues, including Football, Cricket, Volleyball, and Basketball for both boys and girls.
The week-long sports event concluded successfully after 7 days of energetic participation, showcasing teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm among our students.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and winners, and sincere appreciation to organizers, faculty members, and supporters who made this event a grand success.

KCC Hosts International Interaction Session with German Delegation
IAESTE KCC, with support from SDSN Club and Entrepreneurship & Event Management Club and in collaboration with Nepal-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NGCCI), proudly hosted an insightful interaction session with Mr. Daniel Backenhaus and students from a German Business School, creating a platform for knowledge exchange and global exposure.
A warm welcome address was delivered by Dr. Pralhad Karki, PhD, President of Kantipur City College and Prajwol Dhungana, President of IAESTE KCC. In his remarks, Dr. Karki emphasized the importance of global learning beyond classrooms, highlighting how cross-cultural interaction fosters innovation, leadership and real-world understanding. He also expressed optimism for future collaboration between KCC and German institutions through joint projects, virtual engagement and student exchanges.
The program was further enriched by valuable remarks from Dr. Gopal Prasad Tiwari (NGCCI) and Nitesh Poudel, Secretary of the Wellness and Fitness Club, along with special insights about KCC from Dr. Deepak Bikram Thapa Chhetri, Director of Engineering.
The session featured engaging discussions and concluded with closing remarks from Er. Ravi Khanal, Head of Student Affairs. Purbanchal University Talk Program Successfully Concluded at Kantipur City College
Kantipur City College (KCC) successfully hosted the Purbanchal University Talk Program – Kathmandu Series on “Decision Making by Managers in an Uncertain Environment” on February 9, 2026. The program marked a significant milestone in fostering academic excellence and providing students with exposure to contemporary management challenges facing today’s business leaders.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Biju Kumar Thapaliya, Vice Chancellor of Purbanchal University, who attended as the Chief Guest. His presence and valuable insights greatly enriched the program, providing students with profound perspectives on strategic decision-making in the modern business landscape. One-Day Workshop on Research Methodology: Research Design Successfully Conducted

On 7 February 2026, Kantipur City College successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on “Research Methodology: Research Design”, conducted by Mr. Ganesh Sharma and Mr. Rabi Shrestha. The workshop aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of research design and equip them with essential skills required for academic and project-based research.
A total of 32 students participated in the workshop and actively engaged in the learning activities throughout the program.
The workshop mainly focused on the fundamental components of research design, including population and sample, types of sampling techniques, and the concept of data and its classification. Special emphasis was given to primary data collection methods, particularly the use of digital tools such as Google Forms for conducting surveys efficiently.
During the session, students were guided on how to design structured questionnaires and collect data using Google Forms. Practical demonstrations helped participants understand the application of appropriate sampling methods and ensure accuracy and reliability in data collection. Interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions further enriched the learning experience.
The workshop proved to be highly beneficial for students preparing for academic projects and research activities. Participants gained practical knowledge of research design, data collection techniques, and the use of online tools for conducting surveys. The positive feedback from students reflected the relevance and usefulness of the program.
Overall, the One-Day Workshop on “Research Methodology: Research Design” was successfully conducted and achieved its objectives. Kantipur City College continues to organize such academic programs to promote a strong research culture and enhance students’ analytical and practical skills.
Kantipur City College Launches Volume 10 of “Management Scholars” Magazine
Kathmandu, 21st Ashad 2082 (July 5, 2025) Kantipur City College proudly launched the 10th volume of its esteemed magazine, Management Scholars, at a special event at the KCC Hall in Putalisadak. The event honored academic success, student creativity, and the spirit of entrepreneurship. Vice Principal Er. Bhanu Bhakta Niroula provided a warm welcome at the start of the formal session. He set a thoughtful tone by talking about how important platforms like Management Scholars are for encouraging student creativity and expression.
Ms. Bhawani Rana, the former President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), was the Chief Guest at the event. She talked about how important entrepreneurship is in today’s world in her keynote speech. She said, “Entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business, but about fostering creativity and innovation for a better future.” Prof. Dr. Mahendra Singh, the college’s founder principal and former ambassador to Saudi Arabia, was one of the distinguished special guests. He spoke from the heart about the college’s journey and how student-led publications have become more important over time.
Mr. Indra Kumar Shrestha, General Secretary of the Management Association of Nepal, talked about how management education is becoming more and more important in a world that is always changing. Prof. Ram Krishna Regmi, who is in charge of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and writes for magazines, called the journal “a celebration of creativity, hard work, and the spirit of inquiry.” Dr. Pralhad Karki, Managing Director of KCC, also spoke at the event. He praised the student editorial team’s hard work and urged them to keep adding to academic discourse. Mr. Raju Kattel, the principal, who led the program, stressed how important student publications are for creating a culture of research, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
A symbolic inauguration was performed by watering a plant, followed by the national anthem, a cultural welcome dance performed by the BBA 2022 batch, the handover of the magazine to juniors, and the distribution of certificates and love tokens to the editorial team, sponsors, and designers. The BBA 2020 batch’s magazine coordinator, Rom Bhusal, also gave a perceptive speech about the magazine’s history. Ms. Smarika Karki from the BBA 2020 batch gave the vote of thanks, thanking all of the attendees and contributors. The chairperson’s closing remarks and a special session honoring the magazine’s exceptional efforts brought the event to a close.

Conference on Gender Justice and Transforming Masculinities Concludes at KCC
The two-day conference on Gender Justice and Transforming Masculinities successfully concluded today, hosted by Kantipur City College (KCC) in collaboration with UNNAT Nepal, University of the Fraser Valley (Canada), University of Calgary (Canada), and the Southwestern Center for Research and PhD Studies.
The conference brought together experts, researchers, and practitioners dedicated to fostering gender equity and reimagining masculinities for a more just and inclusive society. Through interactive sessions, participants explored issues of gender justice, transformative approaches to masculinity, and collective action for meaningful change.
Key Insights from the Conference:
✅ Media’s Role in Women’s Empowerment – Yubanath Lamsal, senior journalist & former ambassador to Denmark, emphasized the need for media to prioritize gender justice issues.
✅ NHRC’s Commitment – Manju Khatiwada, NHRC officer, highlighted efforts to safeguard women’s rights and policy recommendations for gender equity.
✅ Challenges for Survivors – Mira Kunwar, social activist and a person living with HIV, discussed the stigma surrounding human trafficking survivors and HIV-positive individuals.
✅ Men’s Role in Gender Justice – Sajog Thakuri, from Hami Dajuvai, stressed the importance of involving men in gender discussions, citing research on young men (19-25) involved in sexual violence and the need for targeted awareness programs.
