Kathmandu, 21st Ashad 2082 (July 5, 2025) Kantipur City College proudly launched the 10th volume of its esteemed magazine, Management Scholars, at a special event at the KCC Hall in Putalisadak. The event honored academic success, student creativity, and the spirit of entrepreneurship. Vice Principal Er. Bhanu Bhakta Niroula provided a warm welcome at the start of the formal session. He set a thoughtful tone by talking about how important platforms like Management Scholars are for encouraging student creativity and expression.
Ms. Bhawani Rana, the former President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), was the Chief Guest at the event. She talked about how important entrepreneurship is in today’s world in her keynote speech. She said, “Entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business, but about fostering creativity and innovation for a better future.” Prof. Dr. Mahendra Singh, the college’s founder principal and former ambassador to Saudi Arabia, was one of the distinguished special guests. He spoke from the heart about the college’s journey and how student-led publications have become more important over time.
Mr. Indra Kumar Shrestha, General Secretary of the Management Association of Nepal, talked about how management education is becoming more and more important in a world that is always changing. Prof. Ram Krishna Regmi, who is in charge of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and writes for magazines, called the journal “a celebration of creativity, hard work, and the spirit of inquiry.” Dr. Pralhad Karki, Managing Director of KCC, also spoke at the event. He praised the student editorial team’s hard work and urged them to keep adding to academic discourse. Mr. Raju Kattel, the principal, who led the program, stressed how important student publications are for creating a culture of research, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
A symbolic inauguration was performed by watering a plant, followed by the national anthem, a cultural welcome dance performed by the BBA 2022 batch, the handover of the magazine to juniors, and the distribution of certificates and love tokens to the editorial team, sponsors, and designers. The BBA 2020 batch’s magazine coordinator, Rom Bhusal, also gave a perceptive speech about the magazine’s history. Ms. Smarika Karki from the BBA 2020 batch gave the vote of thanks, thanking all of the attendees and contributors. The chairperson’s closing remarks and a special session honoring the magazine’s exceptional efforts brought the event to a close.
Through initiatives like Management Scholars, which continue to encourage excellence in research, leadership, and innovation, Kantipur City College is dedicated to empowering its students.
