Department of Continuing Education (DCE) in collaboration with Nepal Clearing House Limited recently organized a one-day workshop on “Digital Transaction Opportunities and Its Challenges”. The workshop was designed to educate students and faculty members on the various opportunities and challenges of digital transactions in Nepal. As technology advances rapidly, digital transactions are becoming increasingly popular worldwide. Nepal is no exception to this trend, with a growing number of people using digital payment methods to complete their transactions. However, despite its benefits, digital transactions also pose several challenges,
including security risks, technical difficulties, and limited accessibility.

During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn about the different types of digital payment methods available in Nepal, including mobile banking, internet banking, and digital wallets. They also explored the benefits of digital transactions, such as faster and more convenient payment processing, and the ability to access financial services remotely. However, the workshop also highlighted some of the challenges of digital transactions, such as the potential for cybercrime and fraud, technical difficulties, and limited internet connectivity in certain areas. Participants were also taught about the importance of proper security measures, such as strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and regular software updates.

Overall, the workshop provided an excellent opportunity for students and faculty members to learn about the benefits and challenges of digital transactions in Nepal. It is hoped that the knowledge gained from this workshop will help to promote a more secure and accessible digital payment system in Nepal.
