The Welcoming Ceremony and Mr. and Ms. Fresher program are highly anticipated events at Kantipur City College, eagerly awaited by students since their admission sucessfully held on the 19th of Chaitra, 2080, at Karki Banquet, Thapathali. The event aimed to welcome new students in a friendly atmosphere and encourage their creative
impulses to boost their confidence.
The program commenced with a warm welcome from the Principal, Director of Operations, Chief Administrator, Heads of Departments, Program Coordinators, Faculties, Staff, and Students. Principal and Chairperson of the program, Mr. Raju Kattel, inaugurated the event by watering a plant, symbolizing growth and new beginnings. Operation Director, Ms. Mina Khatry, extended a warm welcome to the freshers through a short speech.

Senior students organized various activities for the freshers, including cultural events, group dances, and singing performances. The highlight of the event was the Mr. and Ms. Fresher contest, judged by Dr. Deepak Bikram Thapa Chhetri, Mr. Saroj Pandey, Ms. Puja Pokharel, and Mr. Ravi Khanal.With 14 participants, including 7 girls and 7 boys, the contest comprised three rounds: Introduction Session, Talent Session, and Questionnaire Session.

Mr. Sachin Thatal and Ms. Supriya Gurung emerged as the winners of the Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2023 titles, respectively.The formal program concluded with closing remarks by Chairperson Mr. Raju Kattel,  followed by a delicious lunch. After the formal program, the event continued with additional musical performances by students.

The college management extends gratitude to all students, coordinators, volunteers, performers, and participants for their contributions in making the event grand and successful.
