KCC Honors Alumni and Faculty Contributing to National Policy Making

The Alumni Association of Kantipur City College (KCC), Putalisadak, Kathmandu, organized a special “Congratulations and Best Wishes” program to honor its distinguished alumni and former faculty members who have made significant contributions to national policy-making and governance.
The event recognized individuals who have pursued undergraduate and postgraduate studies at KCC, as well as those who have served as faculty members. Among the honorees were three Members of the House of Representatives, the official photographer of the Prime Minister’s Office, a press and research expert, and the Chief Information Commissioner of the National Information Commission.
Those honored during the program included Mr. Binaya Shakya, official photographer at the Prime Minister’s Office; Ms. Deepa Dahal, press and research expert; Mr. Suresh Acharya, Chief Information Commissioner; and Members of the Federal Parliament Mr. Jagadish Kharel, Mr. Nishkal Rai (former faculty member), and Mr. Prakash Chandra Pariyar.
Senior communication expert Mr. Rama Krishna Regmi expressed his joy at seeing his former students reaching influential positions and contributing to nation-building. Speaking at the event, alumni Mr. Binaya Shakya and Ms. Deepa Dahal appreciated the quality of education at KCC, highlighting its strong role in fostering leadership and professional growth. Other honorees also acknowledged KCC’s contribution in shaping their careers and expressed their heartfelt gratitude.
The Chief Guest and Chairman of KCC, Dr. Prahlad Karki, extended warm congratulations to the honorees and expressed his pride in their achievements and contributions to the nation.
In his closing remarks, the Principal of KCC, Mr. Raju Kattel, emphasized the college’s commitment to providing quality education along with a strong focus on research-based learning.
Kantipur City College has been accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Nepal, for maintaining quality assurance in higher education. The college continues to align its academic programs with sustainable development goals and future-oriented education.
