KCC Organizes workshop for Faculty Members
Kathmandu, 16 July
Kantipur City College, affiliated to Purbanchal University in Kathmandu organized a workshop on Project Based Learning Methodology on Saturday. As a part of Faculty Development Programme, more than 35 teaching faculty’s member participated in workshop organized at Kantipur City College (KCC) Hall. Participants were welcomed by Ravi Shrestha, Head of KCC Research Management Cell. On welcome speech he said, “Workshop is the continuity of faculty development programme.” Assistant Professor of Kathmandu University Binod Prasad Pant & Dr.Sesha Kant Pangeni were called as an expert for one day workshop. Managing Director & Chief Guest, Prahalad Karki, said as remarks, “we should think our self on providing quality education to the students, compare to those who are getting education to the foreign university.” The workshop trainer trained faculty’s members for effective lesson plan implementation & understanding the teaching learning methods in transformative way. Among the participant, faculty members ; Pankaj Shrestha & Ramesh Parajuli share their experience citing that the one day workshop change the way of observing teaching methods and will be fruitful on coming days.
On closing remarks, Principal of KCC, Raju Kattel said, “Today’s learning must be implementing in classroom, for better performance of faculties.” Trainer were gifted Token of Love for their valuable presentation. At the end of the workshop Principal Kattel honored participants by the Certificate of Participation. The workshop was hosted by Puja Pokharel.
