On 7 February 2026, Kantipur City College successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on “Research Methodology: Research Design”, conducted by Mr. Ganesh Sharma and Mr. Rabi Shrestha. The workshop aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of research design and equip them with essential skills required for academic and project-based research.

A total of 32 students participated in the workshop and actively engaged in the learning activities throughout the program.

The workshop mainly focused on the fundamental components of research design, including population and sampletypes of sampling techniques, and the concept of data and its classification. Special emphasis was given to primary data collection methods, particularly the use of digital tools such as Google Forms for conducting surveys efficiently.

During the session, students were guided on how to design structured questionnaires and collect data using Google Forms. Practical demonstrations helped participants understand the application of appropriate sampling methods and ensure accuracy and reliability in data collection. Interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions further enriched the learning experience.

The workshop proved to be highly beneficial for students preparing for academic projects and research activities. Participants gained practical knowledge of research design, data collection techniques, and the use of online tools for conducting surveys. The positive feedback from students reflected the relevance and usefulness of the program.

Overall, the One-Day Workshop on “Research Methodology: Research Design” was successfully conducted and achieved its objectives. Kantipur City College continues to organize such academic programs to promote a strong research culture and enhance students’ analytical and practical skills.
