Students of Kantipur City College excitedly participated in the march organized by SathSathe on June 5th in honor of World Environment Day 2024. The event, with the theme “Marching Together for Environmental Justice,” attracted enthusiastic participation from students from multiple colleges, passionate citizens, and various organizations, all committed to environmental sustainability.

The march began at 6:30 AM at Bhadrakali, continued through Kathmandu’s old streets, and ended in Basantapur. Along the way, students and participants talked about the importance of environmental protection, offering their dreams and ideas for a sustainable future.
Policymakers and important guests from many organizations attended the event, underlining the significance of coordinated efforts to address environmental concerns. Participants exhibited their unity and devotion through banners, chants, and speeches emphasizing the critical need for action against climate change and environmental damage.
The celebration of World Environment Day with the theme “Marching Together for Environmental Justice” is an essential step in fostering environmental responsibility among Nepal’s youth.
