Inauguration of Management Scholars Volume VII

Management Scholars Vol VII, published by BBA Batch 2014 has been  launched on 6th Baishak 2076 by organizing a program at KCC  conference hall in the presence of  Chief guest Krishna Raj B. C. ,secretary science and technology ,Ministry of  Education , Science and Technology.

The programme was held in the chairmanship of Mr.  Hemantha Sumsher Jung Bahadur Rana. Managing Director of  Kantipur City College (KCC)  Dr. Prahalad Karki, Chairman Mr. Suman Katawal, Director, Operations Ms. Mina Karki , Acting Principal  Mr. Raju Kattel,  BBA program coordinator Ms. Ambika Deoja Kunwar, Administration Chief Rajiv Timilsina were present in the session. Similarly, media persons and sponsors  were  present  on  the auspicious occasion.

Renowned journalist and Chair Person of MAMCJ Ram Krishna Regmee had addressed the program with view on Magazine on Digital Era. The programme was supported by BBA Batch 2015 and the programme was hosted by BBA 2015 students Ms. Nilisha Bajimaya and Mr. Tilak B.K.

Two students of BBA Batch 2014 and coordinator for Management Scholars Sunita Thapa and Manila Karki were in the leadership role of this project. The effort and dedication of the students of this batch 2014 was highly appreciated by the key speakers for the program.

The main theme of the magazine was Sustainable Development where the experts, and students contributed with their article related to the respective theme.

Industrial Visit to Amarsiddhi Hatcht Pvt. Ltd.

Students of School of Business Management (BBA) ,Kantipur City College attended the visit of Amarsiddhi Hatch Pvt. Ltd on 29th Jestha 2076-Wednesday. It is located at the boarder of Kathmandu at Nuwakot district. And, the total investment made is 14 corores for this venture. During this visit BBA students got several ideas of production and distribution system of poultry products in Nepal. We hope that this visit help students to develop entrepreneurship skill in them.

As BBA program of  KCC has its own culture to enhance skill of student “learning by observation,” it provides opportunities of several field visit of production and service oriented organizations in Nepal. During this visit, Mr. Jeevan Tara Bhatta, the Managing Director of Amarsiddi Hatch Pvt. Ltd had taken valuable class to all the students and given answers of the several questions asked by students regarding production and operation and distribution process of poultry farming in Nepal. During the conversation students realized that Nepal has lots of scope for young and innovative entrepreneurs. KCC BBA program hope that this visit helps to all the students to perceive the potential of entrepreneurship in the context of Nepal.

KCC Exhibit 2019 draws 15,000 visitors

With over 25 innovative projects (from ICT, Electronics and Civil Engineering), 2 game stalls and 4 food stalls, the KCC Exhibit 2019 was held on 26th and 27th July with the theme Ingenious thoughts, Sustainable solutions.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Youth and Sports, Jagat Bahadur Sunar (Bishwakarma).

Speaking at the inauguration program for the KCC exhibit2019this morning, Minister Sunar said that Kantipur City College (KCC) has contributed to the youth sector in connecting them with science and technology. In addressing the national need for good governance, development and progress, he noted that the youth has a major role to play. He stressed on the need to connect youth energy to entrepreneurship and production and realized its immediacy in the opportunity provided by the nation’s shift to the Federal Republic.

Professor Rama Krishna Regmee stated the exhibition as a micro-attempt in the nation’s leap towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He stressed on the role of youths towards finding sustainable solutions to nation’s problems. This, he pointed, can be achieved by ICT empowerment.

Director-General of Department of IT (DoIT), Laxmi Prasad Yadav, stressed on using IT not just for ease but also for sustainability.

Former Minister Ganesh Shah stressed on the need of innovation to address the SDGs.

Chairman of Nepal Engineering Council, Er Dilli Raman Niraula, stressed on the need of quality and productive education in Nepal, so as to control the outflow of young human resources abroad.

Chairperson of KCC and also the chair of the program, Suman Katawal, revisited the exhibition since 2001. Principal, Raju Kattel, welcomed the participants and Event Coordinator, Kushal Niraula, introduced the program as the merge of entertainment and knowledge.

KCC Exhibit 2019 was organized by the Center for Software Research and Development (CSDR) at Kantipur City College (KCC), a pioneering college in information technology affiliated to Purbanchal University (PU) since 2000.

The main sponsor and partners for the event included Machhapuchhre Bank (banking partner), Subisu (internet partner), Nepal Telecom (telecom partner), eSewa (e-payment partner), Sagarmatha Insurance (insurance partner), CocaCola (beverage partner), Motoinc Pvt. Ltd., EB Pearls, Employee Provident Fund, Neosphere, Nepal Telecom Authority (NTA), Department of Information Technology (DoIT), National Information Technology Center (NITC), CAN Federation, among others.

The program was held for two days: Saturday & Sunday. The second day of the event featured a conference on ‘Technology for Sustainability’ (T4S) and also musical performances by Pramod Kharel, dance by Binu Shakya and folk singer Nisha GM, including college students. The event was held both days from 8:00 am till 5 p.m.

A total of 15 thousand plus visitors are expected to have visited the events in those two days.

Orientation Program Notice

An Orientation program is being organized for the newly admitted students of BE Civil, BE Computer, BCA, BIT and BBA I semester for the year 2019-23. All students of the First semester are strictly informed to participate in the orientation program on the following date and Time:

BE Computer/BCA/BIT:  29 Kartik 2076  11:00 AM

                        BBA:  30 Kartik 2076 08:00 AM

                        BE Civil (Morning + Evening):  30 Kartik 2076 11:30 AM

Regular classes commence from Monday, 2nd Mangsir 2076.

Orientation for BBA 1st Semester (2019) – 30th Kartik 2076

Orientation for BBA 1st Semester (2019) was conducted in Kantipur City College on 30th Kartik 2076. Chairman – Management Committee of Kantipur City College(KCC)  Respectable Hemanta Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana inaugurated the program by watering the plant. Being the member ofSustainable Development Solution NetworkKCC develops the culture of watering the plant during its inauguration as Care for Environment for Long term Development.

Mr. D.B Shrestha – Full time faculty of Kantipur City College started the session with welcome speech.  Then,new students of BBA Semester I (2019) introduced themselves in the stage .

Ms. Ambika Deoja Kunwar – Coordinator (School of Management) oriented the new students about the four years program along with management game. Orientation on four years overview was followed by an insight about environment of Kantipur City College including rules and regulation of college by Operational Director – Ms. Mina Karki.

Motivation Session on How to Study and excel was conducted Prof. Rama Krishna Regmee. Students showed overwhelming response for this motivating and inspiring session. Former BBA students and Current Marketing Manager of a Chinese Company (Honshi Cement) shared his experience as BBA students of Kantipur City College.Students were very excited to hear from a former student. Furthermore, Mr. Sharma spoke about Career after BBA. Principal of Kantipur City College also addressed the new students regarding the positive attitude and learning for self. The orientation program ends with the inspiring closing remarks by Program Chair – Mr. Hemanta Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana.

Hiking – Organised by BBA III as a part of Project Based Learning

Students of Kantipur City College, BBA III organized a one day hiking program from Jarshingpoua to Nagarkot on 12th Manshir 2076. This was an ice breaking program organized by the immediate senior to the new students of BBA as a welcome program. This is the first step of students towards Project  Based Learning where students learn to become a team player.  Students of BBA I showed overwhelming response for the program.

Kantipur City College emerge champions in inter-college volleyball

Kantipur City College team have become champions in Inter-college Volleyball Tournament organized by NSU Acme Engineering College which was held on Monday, 7th Poush 2076. Winner Team has committed that the price amount will be donated to Dhurmus Suntali Foundation for Cricket Stadium. Kantipur City College knocked organizer college. KCC Family congratulated Volleyball team for winning the Inter-College Volleyball Championship.

Team KCC won Hult Prize

Team Durbar won Hult Prize Purbanchal University 2020 which was organized on 7th December 2019 at D.A.V. College, Jawalakhel. Huge Congratulations to the the team for being selected to represent Kantipur City College as well as Nepal at the Regional Event of Hult Prize in abroad.

The Program was huge because we had participants from Pokhara, Chitwan, Birgunj, Biratnagar and Kathmandu Valley. After 42 info sessions in different parts of Nepal we had 158 registered teams. We organised 8 Workshops and 7 Pre Events in different cities of Nepal and selected Top 12 teams for the main event. All teams pitched their Eco Friendly Business plan in Main Event of Hult Prize Purbanchal University.
